Chess Overview
Chess tournaments in SportEve handle registration, the table, qualification, and certificates. Games can be played on Lichess (organiser token only) or scored by hand in the app.
Play on Lichess
Organisers can choose On Lichess when creating the event. SportEve then creates one Swiss per category, players join from a Play on Lichess button, and the organiser pulls each finished round into the table. Players never grant SportEve a Lichess token.
- Register with a verified Lichess username
- Use categories such as Open, Women, and U9–U19
- Connect a Lichess personal access token with tournament:write
- Create Swiss, sync the allow-list, start the next round, then pull results
- Optional knockout after Swiss as extra one-round Swiss events
