First Launch & Sign In
Sign In Options
When you first open SportEve, you'll need to sign in:
Google Sign In
- Tap "Sign in with Google"
- Select your Google account
- Grant necessary permissions
- You'll be signed in automatically
Email/Password Sign In
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Tap "Sign In"
- If you don't have an account, tap "Sign Up" to create one
Handle Setup
After signing in for the first time, you'll be asked to create a handle (username):
- Enter your desired username
- Check availability
- Your handle will be used to identify you in the app
- You can change it later in Profile settings
Navigation Basics
SportEve uses a bottom navigation bar for easy access to main sections:
Bottom Navigation Tabs:
- โข ๐ฐ News: Latest sports news and articles
- โข โญ Spotlight: Featured and special articles
- โข ๐ฏ Trivia: Sports trivia questions and quizzes
- โข ๐ Events: Upcoming sports events
- โข ๐๏ธ Communities: Join communities and manage tournaments
- โข ๐ค Profile: Your profile, stats, and settings
Tap any tab to navigate to that section. The active tab is highlighted.
Quick Access Card
The Quick Access card appears on the News page and provides quick access to tournaments and play sessions you're actively following.
What is Quick Access Card?
The Quick Access card shows:
- Starred tournaments (ones you've marked with a star)
- Starred play sessions
- Live matches from starred tournaments/sessions
- Quick links to access these directly
Starring Tournaments & Play Sessions
To add a tournament or play session to Quick Access:
- Go to a tournament or play session detail page
- Tap the star icon in the top right corner
- The item will appear on the Quick Access card
- Tap the star again to remove it from Quick Access
Viewing Live Matches
The Quick Access card automatically shows live matches from your starred tournaments and play sessions:
- Tap on a live match to view the scorecard
- See real-time updates
- Quick access to match details
๐ก Tip: Use Quick Access for tournaments and sessions you're actively following. This makes it easy to jump to them from the News page without navigating through communities.
